We'd blame the lack of updates on the sheer volume of music we've been let's just do that; 2015 saw loads of amazing projects pass through the doors and it's great to see the fruits of these labours start to emerge into the world and get their first responses.  We've been attending a lot of shows where music we've worked on has been debuted and that's been a real thrill.  We've also been working on solo projects which we're looking forward to releasing later in the spring - possibly summer if this busy spell keeps going!

Next update probably won't be that long in coming now we've remembered the password for the site (yes......that's the reason for no updates - and to think we're trusted with all that data)

Tuesday 17th March

Had a great few days with Katie Sutherland last week.  Back in the studio with the Vigo Thieves this week who have now earned a space in the Rocket Science gallery!

Thursday 12th March 2015

Looking forward to three days with Katie Sutherland who's starting work on her new album.

Wednesday 11th march 2015

The inevitable slow down in updates happened; we knew it would.  The enthusiasm stirred by the surge in page views waned and we soon forgot to log in and spread the Rocket Science news.  So a recap of February and early March.

We've had some great stuff pass through the doors; the Vigo Thieves are continuing to produce some amazing tracks with us which we had the privilege of seeing transfer to stage at their recent sold out King Tuts show; Robbie McFaulds appeared on STV singing a song we'd produced with him and sounded fantastic......we just had news that Flash Talk are to appear on the same show which is quickly becoming a great platform for seeing some of the great talent emerging from Scotland.

Horse MacDonald has started mixing her Celtic Connections live show, a series of compositions based on the words of Mary Queen of Scots.

The Ravels have started sharing their music and videos and we're really pleased with the can see them at Nice and Sleazy's on 22nd March

Wednesday 28th Jan 2015

Tom Urie's version of "Mother Glasgow" got its first preview on Radio Scotland today.  We are really pleased with how it's turned out and it sounded great over the radio.  Big thank you to Tom for the kind words.....made us feel like actual grown ups!!  (Click "Mother Glasgow" for the link - 10 minutes into the show)  We'll keep you posted on the release and where it can be bought - it's for a great cause.

This week has been a lot of housework (recalls, stems) but some exciting prospects on the horizon.  Really looking forward to the Robbie Faulds coming into the studio next week to start his EP;

Wednesday 21st Jan 2015

The Ravels and The Vigo Thieves in the studio tracking and mixing.......all sounding just as we'd hoped!!  Oh.....and January is almost over; we welcome February with open arms at Rocket Science.

Friday 16th Jan 2015

Busy week; more tracking with 'The Ravels' (formerly the River 68s) and the 'Vigo Thieves' and a trip to the Henry Wood Hall to record strings, piano and vocal for the Glasgow George Sq charity.  All topped off with a ModelJetPilot who supporting 'The Lonely Together' at King Tuts on Saturday.

Tuesday 6th Jan 2015

Happy New Year to all our friends......back in the studio with the Vigo Thieves today; track is sounding amazing and we still have another day left!!  Great song from one of the most dedicated bunch of guys in Scotland.  January is already full to burst with projects and a night out with the band previously known as the River 68s looms close.

THursday 18th Dec 2014:

We had a great night last night at the Rage Music Christmas party last night.  Great to see Konrad Wizsniewski, Euan Stevenson on piano and sax and the incredible New Piccadillys keeping the party going.  Made us think it's about time we got an official Christmas party; time constraints mean we'll have to do it in January though.

We're delighted to hear that Duncan Chisholm ( picked up the  MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards 'Album of the Year' with "Live at Celtic Connections 2014"

Not only did Michael, Ross and Brian record and mix the album but Ross also appears on Bass.  We should mention that Ross also played on Emily Smith's "Echoes" album (  Emily quite rightly picked up Scot's Singer of the Year.  Great to see a few of our clients at the awards too;
